  • Add 2 tablespoons butter to the hot pan. Let it melt and start to sizzle.
  • Add 8 ounces sliced mushrooms to the pan. If you’re using garlic, add 2 cloves of it as well.
  • Sauté the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are browned and have released their moisture. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the mushrooms.
  • Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
  • If desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  • Serve your sautéed mushrooms as a side dish or use them as a topping for steak, pasta, or other dishes.

Mushroom Soup

Instructions

  • In a large pot, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat.
  • Add 1 chopped onion and cook until they’re translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in 2 cloves of minced garlic and 450g sliced mushrooms. Cook for about 10 minutes until the mushrooms are soft and browned.
  • Pour in the broth, and bring the mixture to a boil. Then, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
  • Use an immersion blender to puree the soup until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Stir in 1 cup heavy cream and let the soup simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot and enjoy your quick and delicious mushroom soup.
